The Scooter Loan Scheme For Suffolk Coastal

 

 

   What is Kickstart?   

 

Kickstart is a moped loan scheme that could help youget a job or training place by loaning you a moped to get from your home in a rural area to work or college or to look for employment, and home again. You could also use it in your free time.

This scheme is currently only available to residents of

Suffolk Coastal due to limitations in funding

 If you can prove to us that you have a real need for transport, we may be able to help you.

  If you:-

· Live in Suffolk Coastal area

· Are aged between 16—65

· Have trouble accessing training, education or employment due to problems with transport

  then read on to find out more.

 

  

The Loan

 

This option is most suitable for those who are currently not employed but who are seeking training, education or employment but cannot access these due to difficulties with personal or public transport.

If accepted onto the scheme users will be loaned a moped for a period of up to 6 months.

 

Kickstart will provide you with:-

· An insured moped

· MoT and road tax

· Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)

· A brand new crash helmet

· Security lock, gloves and jacket

· Maintenance & repair

· Support & advice

 

In return the user will provide:-

· All fuel costs

· £20* per week towards Kickstart overheads
