Coastal Skills

The aim of the project is to provide in partnership with other agencies, a free, professional and flexible service which supports people to develop their skills by undertaking work placements and training. The project will help with employment prospects by equipping Learners with appropriate employability and vocational skills.

 
The Coastal skills project operates in the south Waveney and coastal areas of Suffolk. This includes villages and towns such as Halesworth, Southwold, Wrentham, Leiston Saxmundham and Rendlesham as well as many others.
 
Who is Eligible?
  • 16 years plus
  • A rural resident
  • Unemployed
  • Currently volunteering
The project offers free:
  • Personal Development
  • Information, Advice and Guidance on career and work  opportunities, including career change.
  • Work placements and taster sessions in private and voluntary organisations.
  • Access to NVQ and other vocational training
  • Skills for Life
