What is a Keysafe?

A keysafe is a pushbutton combination key box designed to give safe and secure access to your property to carers, family members and other designated persons. If you are not eligible for a free keysafe as part of the Suffolk County Council care programme, Suffolk ACRE can still provide a keysafe fitting service to provide comfort and security in your own home.

Why would i need a keysafe?

If you struggle to maintain independence in your own home and require assistance from carers or family members.
If you have a physical disability, sensory impairment or have difficulty getting to the door.
If you simply require safe and secure storage for keys.

Private Keysafes

Suffolk ACRE now fits and provides keysafes to anybody who wishes to have them on their property and to clients properties who are paying for their own care but not eligible for a free keysafe as part of the county councils care programme.

Suffolk County Council Care Programme

For the past 4 years Suffolk ACRE has fitted keysafes to properties of people who are a part of Suffolk County Council's social services community care programme, these are designed to keep keys safe and secure for care workers or family members who need to gain access to the property to either look after or see the client or loved one.

If you are a family member of someone who is on the programme and would like one to be fitted then please contact Suffolk County Council on 01473 583000 and they tell you if you are eligible for one free of charge.
